Sanders is a major in the US Army, and an old friend of Clint Harris.
Biography[]
At some point in the past, Sanders was apparently friends with Clint Harris and owed him a favour.
During the Original Outbreak of the Rage Virus in mainland Great Britain, Major Sanders was apparently affiliated with a US military operation on the Isle of Wight to try and seek a cure for Infection while using captive criminals as test subjects.
28 Days Later (comic series)[]
While Sanders was temporarily staying in Berck, France, he met up with Clint and the latter's cameraman, Derrick. He took them to the US research facility in Newport on the Isle of Wight, where he showed them the US military's attempts to find a cure to Infection by infecting Ahmed Karzaii with the Rage Virus.
When the scientist performing the experiment was accidentally infected after falling on a syringe containing a sample of the Rage Virus, Sanders intervened and bludgeoned the infected scientist to death with a tank to stop him causing an outbreak of Infection. Sanders then had Clint and Derrick leave the Isle immediately, and decided that he and Clint were now equal.
