The Rooftop Sniper (real name unknown) was a sniper in the US Army, and appeared to be good friends with fellow sniper Sergeant Doyle.
Biography[]
Following the Original Outbreak of the Rage Virus in Great Britain, the Rooftop Sniper was assigned to join the US-led NATO force of soldiers under General Stone's command that went to London to repatriate the city.
28 Weeks Later[]
One night, four weeks after the reconstruction of London began, the Sniper was apparently aware that Doyle was using his sniper rifle's scope to spy on the civilians of District One.
The next night, when the Second Outbreak of the Infection started in District One and Code Red was executed, the Sniper (and the other rooftop snipers) began shooting and killing first Infected only, then, when Step Three of Code Red was initiated, both Infected and civilians. Minutes after Step Three was executed, two Infected arrived on the rooftop where the Sniper was stationed. They attacked and mauled him, forcing Doyle to shoot the Sniper in the head as a mercy killing.
