Randall was a member of Clint Harris' illegal expedition into Great Britain.
Biography[]
Some time after the Original Outbreak of the Rage Virus in Great Britain, Randall joined Clint Harris and several others on an illegal expedition into quarantined Britain, with Selena as their guide.
28 Days Later (comic series)[]
When the expedition to infected Britain was flying from Norway to Sumburgh, Randall piloted their helicopter. When the US military shot at the chopper, Randall and Clint were forced to land it nine miles from Sumburgh on the Shetland Islands.
After encountering two Infected and realising from this encounter that the Rage Virus had spread to the island, the group, including Randall, retreated to a hotel, chased by an Infected. The Infected almost caught Randall before Selena pushed him into the hotel in time, and the group then locked themselves inside.
Shortly after, the group fled in a hotwired van from the hotel, and drove to Sumburgh to find the ship taking them to mainland Britain had not yet arrived, so they holed up in a pub in the meantime. Randall played a game of Texas Hold'em Poker with Trina, Acorn, Derrick and Selena, until Hirsch was infected. Selena then killed Hirsch in front of Randall and the rest of the group, leaving them horrified. Selena then ordered the rest of the group try and cover their faces up and prepare for more coming Infected.
When the Infected did arrive and attacked the pub, Randall helped Clint hold the main doors shut while the rest of the group fended the Infected off. Randall and the rest of the group then abandoned the pub and escaped onto Harlan's waiting boat, then left the Shetland Islands. However, they found the US Navy waiting between Shetland and mainland Scotland for them, and an American plane blew up the boat, presumably killing Randall.
Trivia[]
- Clint appeared to frequently forget about Randall. For example, when Clint was introducing Selena to the team, he did not introduce her to Randall, and when Clint made a speech near the end of Issue 24, Randall was the only one of his deceased team whom Clint did not mention.
