Harlan was a British Navy captain and old friends with Clint Harris.

Biography[]

Two months or less after the Original Outbreak of the Rage Virus in Britain, when Clint Harris attempted to sneak past quarantine into Britain, Harlan was to arrive at the Shetland Islands to pick Clint and his team up and take them to mainland Scotland.

28 Days Later (comic series)[]

Near sunset, Harlan and his assistant, Phillips, arrived via boat at the docks of Shetland, and successfully picked Clint and his team up and leave the Islands, narrowly avoiding a large horde of Infected in the process.

When Harlan tried to get the boat to mainland Britain, he found the US Navy blocking the way, protecting the quarantine. Clint ordered Harlan to get them to the shores of Scotland anyway, and Harlan was able to get his boat past the Navy and towards the shores of Scotland, using the Orkney Islands as cover. However, when the boat neared the shores, an American plane came and blew the boat up, presumably killing Harlan.
