Halkirk is a village on the River Thurso in Caithness, in the Highland council area of Scotland. From Halkirk the B874 road runs towards Thurso in the north and towards Georgemas in the east.

During or after the Original Outbreak of the Rage Virus, Halkirk was completely overrun by the Infected.
28 Days Later (comic series)[]
Some months after the outbreak, Kate sent her son, Douglas, and her brother or brother-in-law Roger, along with several other people, to Halkirk, where they were trapped by the infected inhabitants.
Some time later, Kate tricked Selena and Clint Harris into going to Halkirk to rescue Douglas. Clint and Selena did find and rescue Douglas, then took supplies for Derrick from Halkirk's chemist's shop and fled the overrun village.
