Carl was part of Derrick's crew of journalists, and apparently also good friends with Derrick.

Biography[]

While Carl, Derrick and their crew were embedded in Iraq, another journalist got them separated from their unit. They were found and taken hostage the next day by the Crescent Jihad Faction, who executed Carl in front of him by beheading.
