The Animal Freedom Front were a British organisation of eco-terrorists and/or animal rights activists, and were responsible for the accidental release of the Rage Virus from Cambridge.
History[]
After Clive informed the AFF that the Cambridge Primate Research Centre was experimenting on chimpanzees,
the AFF sent three activists there to free the chimps. (28 Days Later: The Aftermath)
However, the activists ignored a local scientist's warnings about the Rage Virus plus the fact that Clive neglected to inform them about it also, and released one. The infected chimp attacked and infected one of the activists, before another activist killed the chimp. The infected activist then infected the other activists and the scientists. (28 Days Later (film))
The fate of the AFF is unknown, but the organisation most likely collapsed when mainland Great Britain was wiped out by the Rage Virus.
Trivia[]
The organization may be based on a similar real life organization with a similar name, the Animal Liberation Front.
