Afghanistan (officially the Islamic republic of Afghanistan) is a nation located in South Asia, bordering Pakistan, Iran, Turkmanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and China. The nation is largely located amongst the Hindu Kush mountain range. Following the 9/11 attacks in the United States, the country was occupied by NATO.
